The Collaborative Custom Art Making Procedure
DEFINE YOUR VISION
Begin your artistic journey by sharing your ideas and photos via our on-page “Inquiry form”, email art@heyda.ca, or book a consultation to explore your project goals. To ensure total alignment, we utilize a three-point framework to define the essence of your project:

Theme: Describe the emotional core (e.g., Joy, Summer, Neutral Color).

Background: Choose to keep the original setting or replace to enhance the atmosphere.

Style: Select the desired art movement (e.g., Impressionism, Abstract, Realism).
Following our analysis, we will provide a Project Blueprint detailing the Style, Tone, and Medium tailored for your project.

Note: Reference photos should be high-resolution with clear details to ensure the best result.
DESIGN YOUR PROTOTYPE
Confirm your project with a payment to unlock the design phase. Within one working week after receiving the payment, we develop one to three custom prototypes/mock-ups. We send the digital versions via email for your selection. Typically, we present one or two concepts first, reserving the final version for adjustments based on your feedback.
Note: If the final concept does not meet your expectations, we will process a refund minus the Design Fee as outlined in our Returns x Refunds policy.
PROCESS YOUR PROJECT
Once we receive your approved prototype/mock-up, a designated artist begins your artwork. Following atelier methods, each piece is hand-painted in multiple layers of acrylic or oil on canvas. This traditional art-making process typically requires 3–6 weeks of active creation to achieve proper layering and artistic depth.
APPROVE YOUR ARTWORK
Upon completion, we share a high-resolution preview of the completed artwork via email. You may approve the work as-is or request reasonable modifications. Once we receive your approval, we finalize the creation phase with a natural drying period of 1–3 weeks to ensure the structural integrity and longevity of the medium.

Note: We offer up to two rounds of refinements. If adjustments are requested, we will polish the artwork and provide a revised preview within two weeks for your final approval. In the rare event that the final result does not meet the standards agreed upon in our Terms x Conditions, we will process a full refund minus the Design Fee.
ENJOY YOUR CREATION
We utilize the double-layer protection method to prepare your completed artwork for delivery. To ensure safe transit, we work exclusively with reputable carriers like Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, and comparable service providers. At the beginning of the shipping process, we send you a real-time tracking number via email. All you need is simply sit back, relax and prepare to enjoy your one-of-a-kind artwork.
DELIVERY
The Complete Guide to Packaging and Shipping Worldwide
As a Canadian Creative Atelier, we celebrate the liberty of choice and personal expression. At HEYDA, we exclusively deliver our custom acrylic or oil on canvas paintings as rolled canvases without frames. We believe our clients should have design autonomy to select custom framing that perfectly complements their unique interior while supporting local framing services.
PACKAGING
To secure the structural integrity of the canvas during transit, especially worldwide shipment, we utilize a Double-Layer Protection method:

Layer 1: The dried acrylic or oil on canvas painting surface is covered by a layer of protective paper and then safely rolled.

Layer 2: The roll is placed in a hard-shell tube, which is then secured inside a secondary reinforced shipping box for maximum safety.
This dual-barrier system provides the highest level of impact resistance, guaranteeing your artwork arrives in perfect condition.
SHIPMENT
To ensure safe transit, we work exclusively with reputable carriers like Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, and comparable service providers. For each shipment, we send you a real-time tracking number via email.
